My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

WOOF - MEET TEAK! Teak is a young and energetic red lab/pit mix in need of a foster or forever home! On paper he's 2 years old, but we think he's just a pup, around 1 to 1-1/2. Teak is an 80-pound happy boy who will benefit from some basic training and commands. He's a smart learner, and he needs someone who would love to help him transform into the best dog ever! He is learning slowly to walk on a leash, as nobody ever taught him before, so would do well with someone who has a backyard and room to run, while he gets up to speed. Teak was rescued from an overcrowded California shelter, and was one lucky boy to get saved. He's a handsome dog with a gorgeous red coat, and is always happy to see his person. He would also do well with an active person or people who can take him for hikes and other outings. Please email for an application.

Additional adoption info

We work hard to match animals with people, and have a high success rate doing so. We want our dogs, cats and adopters to be happy!

More about this rescue

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue organization based in Southern California, but we adopt dogs to people in states across the country. In 2024, we adopted almost 200 animals to people in California, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Texas and New York. Most of the animals we save come from high-kill shelters in California, but we also take in owner surrenders.
