My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*Isabella is in the process of being adopted!*

Age: 8 months
Weight: 13 kgs

As sweet as they come, get ready to meet Isabella! Described as an even-tempered, responsive, and playful, this sweet former stray is ready to find her new forever home! Although she can still be a little mouthy at times, Isabella is a food motivated and incredibly smart girl who is eager to learn! The ideal home should be able to offer her plenty of supervision, playtime, and training. It`s also worth noting that Isabella is quite the cuddly lap dog and will happily lay across you while chewing on a toy! There is one small medical concern that would need to be covered before taking Isabella home, but the wonderful adoption counsellors here can go over that with you. Don`t wait; a pup as sweet as Isabella won`t be here for long, so say hello today!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
