Meet Gloria, an adult dog with a heart as big as her personality. We are thinking pretty Gloria is a Wire-Haired Fox Terrier mix. She's a sweet, cuddly girl who is house trained and ready to bring joy to a new home. Gloria has a knack for making people feel loved, her tail wagging is a testament to her cheerful spirit. She loves all of us adults, but we don’t yet know how she is with kids. She is friendly with other dogs and seems of with cats.
Her favorite pastime is snuggling up on a cozy couch, and she's always ready for a good belly rub. She's also intelligent, quickly learning new commands and tricks. Gloria is more than just a pet; she's a companion who will enrich your life with unconditional love and loyalty. She is a smart girl and basic group training classes is recommended to help her learn commands, socialize with other humans and dogs, as well as build that fur-ever bond with you! There's no doubt that Gloria is ready to be a part of a family that will cherish her. Adopt Gloria and experience the joy of having a loyal and loving friend by your side.
Gloria’s story: She was part of a loving pack of five dogs owned by a woman who faced an unexpected crisis: homelessness. She had found a new place to stay but was only allowed to bring one dog, so she chose to live in her car, prioritizing her furry companions over her own comfort. Despite her efforts to find new homes for her beloved dogs, her attempts to re-home them had been unsuccessful.
As harsh winter temperatures set in, with nights plunging into the 20s and wind chills dipping into the low teens, one of our southern rescue partner’s compassionate volunteers stepped in to assess the dogs for potential intake. The dogs are now in loving foster homes and doing great!
Medical Note: This dog has tested positive for exposure to ehrlichia. This does not mean that this dog had/has an active infection of ehrlichiosis, only that the dog was exposed or infected in the past. This dog is/has been asymptomatic while in SOS care and is being treated/has been treated preventatively with a 28-day course of doxycycline. This dog is ready for adoption, though may continue to test positive for exposure to ehrlichia for some time. Please see here for more information on ehrlichia, and please check with your vet before you apply to adopt this dog if you have any questions or concerns about this medical history.
An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this.

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
