Pumpkin is the sweetest kitten you could imagine! She loves to wake her humans in the morning by 8:00 sharp by crawling under the blanket and snuggling into them, purring hard. There's no better way to start the day!

Not only is she extremely affectionate; she's also very playful and social. She's eager to meet strangers and doesn't mind loud noises. Pumpkin tolerates the vacuum like a champ!

Pumpkin has so much kitten energy to share. For this reason, she needs to go to a home with an existing
playful cat to keep her life joyful and enriched. Or, she could be adopted alongside her mom, Butternut,
with whom she gets along great.

Submit Application

Before submitting an application, we ask that you review the information on cat care and our policies here: https://www.vokra.ca/adopt

2.
Interview

Our adoption counsellors focus on educating our adopters on cat care. Once approved, they use a matching process to find your perfect pet.

3.
Meet the Pet

When you find a kitty you like, you will arrange an appointment with the foster home - where the kitty feels most comfortable and confident.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

Our adoptions contract process includes reviewing critical cat care information and providing contacts for post-adoption advice.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Woo hoo! You will be expected to take the kitty to a free post-adoption vet check within 2 weeks, and follow up on any required vet care.

Additional adoption info

Each year more than 1,400 cats and kittens are adopted through VOKRA. We're always here after the adoption if you need ongoing advice.

Response times can vary, depending on the time of year and available volunteer resources. Applications and help requests for non-emergency issues will usually receive a response in 1-3 days.
