Spatula is a 2 year old Shih Tzu mix who’s ready to flip for joy for her new family! Spatula was rescued from one of our shelter partners after they reached out due to overcrowding. We knew we couldn’t leave this fluffy gal behind so she came with us for DPS brunch! Spatula weighs 16 pounds and has a fabulous non-shedding coat. She will require regular grooming to ensure she stays looking flawless. Come and pick up the cutest addition to your kitchen with Spatula today!
Spatula is an affectionate and loving little lady who can’t wait to cook up culinary perfection with her forever people! She is an amazing companion for her foster mom who works from home, so we know she would be a great home buddy. She is calm and fairly quiet. While she likes being near her people, she’s also fine to keep herself company as needed. She gets the occasional fabulous zoomie which makes everyone in the house chuckle. Like any Shih Tzu, while Spatula enjoys her walks around the block, she is also just as happy to lounge on the couch like the Queen she is. Spatula’s dream home is one where she will receive constant love and attention as she deserves the very best! She is up for adventure as long as you are by her side. We think Spatula would be a fabulous little model as she is just as cute as can be, so watch out Instagram influencers, Spatula is ready to hit the scene! Spatula is so affectionate and can’t wait to shower you in a lifetime of kisses and cuddles from the minute you bring her home.
Spatula starts her day around 8:30 AM with breakfast followed by a brisk morning stroll around the block. During the day, Spatula hangs out in the living room on her bed with her toys or keeps foster mom company in the home office. Spatula gets another longer walk in the afternoon followed by a few games of fetch in the hallway. At the end of the workday, she gets some cuddles before she has dinner at 6:30 PM. In the evenings, Spatula enjoys some cuddles on the couch followed by one last potty break. She ends her day curled up in her bed as she drifts off to sleep.
Spatula gets along with dogs once she’s given a slow introduction. She would be okay as a solo dog or as a companion for a resident dog. She gets along well with humans of all ages. She walks well on the leash but could use some work on her barking. Spatula is ready to roll on over and collect all the belly rubs she can from you, so head on over and scoop her up today!
Spatula is an option for homes with prior dog owning experience. Kids should be over the age of 5.
