My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Looney Tune, the friendly, loveable pup with an equally active side! Much like all puppies, Looney Tune is full of energy and would do best in a home that can provide her with ample playtime and toys to keep her growing brain engaged! She`s still learning what she is and isn`t allowed to play with but she`s proven that she is a very smart girl and easily trainable, especially when treats are involved. Once Looney Tune is properly tuckered out she becomes the sweetest cuddlebug, eager to snuggle into your side for a well deserved nap! Be ready to take on all of the responsibility that comes with taking a puppy home; they are undeniably cute but need a lot of supervision, training, and puppy-proofing to grow into proper canine companions. That`s all folks, so come learn more about Looney Tune if you are looking for a four-legged best friend!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
