Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Please visit leiashope.org for our adoption process.
Located in Troy, MO
Elsie is a sweet petite cavalier. She gained her freedom from a puppy mill and is enjoying life as a free woman!
Elsie came into rescue at the beginning of her heat cycle. She is scheduled to get her spay near the end of the month and an ultrasound just to be confident she doesn't have puppies cooking. She will be ready for a home as soon as spayed. We will keep her new family updated on her progress and when she can officially go home.
Elsie enjoys the company of other dogs and likes to hang out and play with them. She took to home life pretty easily and she sleeps with foster mom each night. She is still a little unsure of men but she is getting better.
She has been learning how to walk on a leash and doing pretty well. She enjoys the yard and exploring with her furry friends.
Elsie's adoption is $375. She will be spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped and on monthly heart worm prevention. Next steps can be found at leiashope.org.
PLEASE NOTE: We are a volunteer ran rescue with full time jobs. Please allow 7-10 days for application processing.
All of our dogs are in foster homes and a meet and greet is done ONLY after an approved application.
We do adopt out of the area. However, we do not ship or provide transportation. You must come to the location of the dog to meet and adopt. NO EXCEPTION. All family members and dogs must be present at the meet.
Dogs are a commitment for THEIR lifetime. For puppies this could be 15 years. If YOU cannot commit to the lifetime of the DOG, please do not apply. Puppies under 9 months must go to a home where there is someone home frequently (works from home or a partner is home), can adequately socialize and train the puppy, and can keep up with puppy energy!

We are a volunteer ran rescue and all of our dogs are in foster homes. We focus on puppy mill dogs and senior dogs at animal control or owner surrenders. We ensure all dogs have been completely vetted before going to their new home.
