My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Wee Bill
Wee Bill is a tiny, but mighty 3-year-old Chihuahua who is looking for a new home after the sudden passing of his beloved adopter, Julie .
Wee Bill’s journey hasn’t been easy — he was found abandoned by the side of the road, severely injured, malnourished, and with some brain damage. But through incredible care and love, he’s been thriving in his home. While under Julie's care, Wee Bill was treated for seizures and received exceptional medical attention, including hospitalization at UC Davis and VCA Bradshaw Animal Hospital. He’s now on medication to manage his condition and is doing well.
Despite his rocky start, Wee Bill is a sweet, cuddly boy who loves being with his people. He’s quiet, calm, and enjoys being held or cuddled the most. He sleeps in his crate at night and is well-behaved, only growling occasionally when he's unsure. He’s fully potty trained when given outdoor breaks and is a joy to have around.
Wee Bill enjoys his walks, riding in the car, and even walks well on a leash! He’s happiest when he’s close to his humans, and he has excellent recall, always eager to follow you around. His ideal home would be peaceful, without young children or aggressive dogs, where he can continue to thrive in a loving environment.
Wee Bill is currently being fostered in the Sacramento area. If you’re looking for a sweet, special boy to add to your family, please consider giving Wee Bill the home he deserves.

More about this rescue

Umbrella of Hope exists to rescue, rehibilitate, and rehome animals from shelter situations with a focus on East Contra Costa County, California. Our goal is to reduce the euthanasia of adoptable animals through increased adoptions of those animals already born. Help increase public safety by reducing the number of strays and feral animals through population control who might carry disease or pose other dangers to the community. Provide resources to pet owners to enable them to be responsible forever guardians of their companion animals. To increase public awareness of homeless pets, encourage spay and neuter of companion animals, and promote adoption for the acquisition of family pets.
