My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Blue!
Blue is a sweet and cuddly 4-year-old possible Corgi & marshmallow cuteness mix (about 15 lbs) who’s looking for his forever home!
He was sadly abandoned by his previous owners in Davis, CA, but now he’s thriving in his foster home in Sacramento, CA! Blue is an easy-going guy who LOVES both people and animals — dogs and cats alike! He’s a big fan of giving kisses, whether it’s to his human or furry pals.
Though he can be a little nervous around new things or loud noises, with some time to adjust, Blue quickly feels right at home. He’s recently conquered the stairs (he was a little intimidated at first, but now he’s the boss of them! ) and loves sleeping in bed with his foster parents after a fun day of playing. He has been a very good boy with his potty manners and will ask to go outside to do his business once he is comfortable.
Meal times are another highlight for Blue — he loves his food! ️ If you’re looking for a laid-back, affectionate companion who’ll shower you with love, Blue might be the perfect fit for your family.
Ready to bring this marshmallow of a dog into your home? Fill out an application at www.beourpet.org/adoptions.php to meet Blue!

More about this rescue

Umbrella of Hope exists to rescue, rehibilitate, and rehome animals from shelter situations with a focus on East Contra Costa County, California. Our goal is to reduce the euthanasia of adoptable animals through increased adoptions of those animals already born. Help increase public safety by reducing the number of strays and feral animals through population control who might carry disease or pose other dangers to the community. Provide resources to pet owners to enable them to be responsible forever guardians of their companion animals. To increase public awareness of homeless pets, encourage spay and neuter of companion animals, and promote adoption for the acquisition of family pets.
