My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bambi! She has the coloring of a heeler, but smaller in size. We think she started out as a backyard dog, so is fearful of the leash and flattens to the ground. She might drag herself vs attempting to walk, so we are desensitizing her to it! She is so shy but loves to cuddle and get belly rubs. She does great with the bigger dogs. She only really plays with a large pointer best friend compared to other dogs. She'd be good as an only dog but at the same time she could use a confident dog to teach her the world isn't scary. She likes her own space and may not fit into all packs - especially with dogs her size - as she seems to be dominant but scared. We suggest a slow intro and ensuring personalities click. She is just finally learning the dog door but has only had one accident not using the dog door. She’s going to be a great dog once she acclimates to her new family and understands the expectations and routine!

More about this rescue

The Pet Knot was forged to combine efforts of like-minded rescues and volunteers humbly striving to make a dent in the urgent pet over-population crisis. Our talents and strategies promote animal adoptions through online, in-store, and boutique-like options for adopters. All animals receive the highest level of medical care and grooming. Animals also receive appropriate adjustment time and basic social skills in foster homes in preparation for a new home environment. We help all animals including seniors, special needs, and those seemingly unadoptable cases and work diligently to place each in the most appropriate permanent home possible no matter how long it takes. We call ourselves The Pet Knot because not only do we connect people with pets, we keep people with pets.

The Pet Knot consists of The Pet Knot and Paw Promise animal rescue working together.
