Meet Mochi, a captivating feline resident of our shelter. She is an adult cat with a charming personality. Mochi is friendly, often welcoming visitors with a soft purr and a playful paw. Yet, she also values her independence, content to spend time on her own, exploring her surroundings or simply basking in a sunny spot. Mochi can be a bit shy, but with a little patience, she opens up and shows her playful side, chasing after toys with a kitten-like enthusiasm. Adopting Mochi would mean welcoming a cat who balances affection and independence perfectly. She`d make a wonderful addition to any household looking for a feline friend who can offer both companionship and her own unique charm.

We have a simple adoption application and approval process. Our adoption fees vary by animal, but generally include neutering, age appropriate vaccinations, behavior and health assessments, and health insurance. In addition, all adopters have free access to our Adopter Support program for assistance with health or behavior issues that may arise.

Michigan Humane is the oldest and largest animal welfare organization in Michigan, taking in approximately 35,000 animals per year.
