I considered adopting Penny as the last wish of her owner, who was in hospice. He died suddenly, and I was not able to meet him or his two fur babies before deciding. Upon his death, I took in both of his cats, sight unseen, as I thought they would be good companions for my 3-year-old cat. It has been a big adjustment for all of us. While the 3-year-old welcomed the 2 new friends, he is now beginning to pounce on her to get her to play with him, and I don't want her hurt.
Penny is a petite 16-year-old cuddle bug who loves attention. Her happy place is curled up on your lap. Penny requires more attention than I am able to give her. Caring for three cats has also become increasingly overwhelming. I believe Penny would be happiest in a home that can give her all the attention she needs.
