Ring in the new year by giving sweet Betty a new forever home and family. She was a stray with the good fortune to be taken to our southern shelter partner by a kindly Animal Control Officer who must have realized that this black and white Labrador/mixed breed girl will make a great family companion.
Betty is about 8 months old, and 37 pounds. It is estimated she will fall somewhere between medium sized dog (31-60 pounds) when she is all grown up. Betty has a great time when she gets to hang out and play with other dogs and will make a fabulous adventure buddy for children. It is not known whether Betty has spent time around cats.
Betty is working on her house and crate training. She is already demonstrating good manners on a leash as she walks like a pro. Labradors are smart and eager to please their human companions, so consistent, positive daily training with a regular routine will reward you with a well-behaved member of the household.
There is not much known about how Betty ended up wandering until she was found, but everyone who has met her knows that she is a warm, friendly, happy girl with loads of love to give anyone who will give her loads of love and attention in return.
The adoption fee for Betty is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees.
