My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Penny is a pup who found her way to our rescue this past week. She is a local Wisconsin pup who we think is about 3 months old and about 10 lbs. Your breed guess is as good as ours :)

Penny is an incredibly smart girl who loves to be by her humans. We think she would make a great family dog. She also loves other dogs and we have no reason to think she wouldn't do just fine with cats as well. She is loyal and follows her humans around, waiting for an opportunity to snuggle.

She likely didn't live in a house before, so housebreaking is new to her, but she is catching on very quickly. She is treat motivated, and did I say smart, so she is learning so much in her first week with us. When it is time for her to go in her kennel, she also does okay with that.

Overall—she is great pup. She will be going to the vet on January 21st and after that, will be ready for adoption.

If interested in one of our great dogs, please email us for an application. Once the application is returned and processed, we set up private meet and greets with approved adopters. Our adoption fee is generally $200.

New Leash on Life Dog Rescue is a foster based dog rescue that takes in dogs from local owner surrenders as well as rescues dogs from high kill shelters in other states. We also work with local shelters when they have a dog who is just not doing well in a shelter environment. We are an all breed rescue and we have dogs of all shapes and sizes. We rescue dogs who are need medical attention as well as those who are healthy and just looking for a great family.
