Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 28th! This is the day Rosie's babies will be making their public debut. If you read the 'details' about Rosie, pictured above, the mother of these adorable puppies, you will know what a tough start in life this big family had. Rosie did her best, but trying to provide nourishment for her huge litter cost her a lot in terms of her own health, and it was determined that the best thing to do was to wean the babies at five weeks of age and give Rosie a chance to rest and recuperate. So, they arrived, after a 500 mile trip, to our foster's home at the ripe old age of 5.5 weeks. The pictures we have posted were taken as they came off the transport, a little weary and worse for the wear. New pictures will be posted as soon as possible. But you should see them now! Talk about energy! Talk about an appetite! These puppies are feasting on huge nutritious meals several times a day, plus learning to eat dry kibble in between. Very, very playful and affectionate. Many people will ask, 'What breed are they?' Good question. Mom is listed as a Border Collie Mix, but dad is unknown. Four of them are almost solid black, and almost identical in size with slight variations in markings. Two of the remaining five have very fluffy tan coats, as soft as your child's favorite teddy bear, with black trim. Come meet them in person, sit with them, cuddle them. They will love it and so will you! Rookie is our tiniest little boy, smooth fawn coat/ black muzzle.
