Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Kookie is a sweet, smart, and energetic pup looking for her forever home! Found as a stray with her brother about nine months ago, her estimated birthday is 9/19/23. She has been thriving in her current home in NJ but needs a fresh start where her energy can be celebrated and well-matched.
Kookie is good with kids and gets along well with other dogs—responding submissively if conflict arises.
While she hasn’t been exposed to cats in the home environment, she was non-reactive with cat testing.
Kookie has many wonderful qualities:
• Training & Behavior: She’s had professional training, knows basic commands, and shows great potential thanks to her eager-to-please attitude. She’s still working on leash manners (she tends to pull) but listens well to her name.
• Okay in Crate & Car: Kookie is being reintroduced to crate-training and loves car rides!
• Playful & Sweet: She’s a loving, affectionate pup who enjoys playtime and chewing on toys when she gets bored.

More about this rescue
We mainly rescue dogs and cats from local Animal Shelters/Control when those facilities are overcrowded. Our adoptable cats are located in our H.O.P.E. Pet Adoption Center in the Wilton Mall and dogs are in individual foster homes.
We have educational programs for children and adults about choosing a pet and the responsibilities of pet ownership, and safety around animals.
We welcome volunteers for any of these programs or for our fundraising committee.
