Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Yup, sweet Alfie is looking for his FURever home.We know everything about him, so ask us anything!

Age: 11 yr young, 15 lbs, Shih Tzu, we got him off the transfer list at The Animal Foundation on 10/9, he came in as a "stray", so no history is available.

Medical:
Current on vaccines, microchipped, neutered.
He is blind in one eye and has medication for the other eye.
We had a senior blood panel, x-rays, urinalysis, Corneal Stain, and Tonometry test. On 12/20/24 we had an echocardiogram done to see the condition of his heart.

Alfie is healthy with a left ventricle that is slightly enlarged with NO congestive heart failure He is on 2 mg of pimobendan 2x a day and we have 6 months worth. He is on Dorzolamide and Tacrolimus for his eyes.

Behavior: Well you can't get a better dog than this kid, he is potty trained, crate trained, loves to follow other dogs around, sweet, kind, and independent. He loves his 30-minute walks, gets along with other dogs, and would benefit from a multi-small dog household.

Interview

We will give you a call IF YOU ARE a match for the pet you are interested in. You must have already filled out the Interest Form

3.
Meet the Pet

We will schedule a meet and greet at a park or in your home. If in home, the home check will be done at that time.

4.
Home Check

We will schedule a home visit.

5.
Take the Pet Home

There is a 5 day trial period where you get your adoption fee refunded if the new member is not a perfect fit.
