Meet Pepper – The Perfect Queen for Your Castle!

Calling all confident single ladies or strong, loving women looking for their perfect companion! Pepper is just over 1 year old, weighs about 45 pounds, and is bursting with love, joy, and happiness.

This active and affectionate girl thrives in a home where she can be the star of the show. She gets along well with other dogs, including her foster brother, but can be a bit competitive for attention—because who wouldn’t want to dote on her? Pepper would shine as an only dog where she can truly rule as queen.

Pepper is a great candidate for agility training, loves walks and hikes, and is always up for snuggling on the couch after an adventure. While she’s not a fan of the crate, her foster has mastered some clever tricks to outwit her inner escape artist!

Pepper absolutely adores kids and would be thrilled to share her love with a family that has children! She’s patient and gentle, making her an excellent companion for little ones. She does have a tendency to become protective of the kids and women of the home so she must have someone who is able

to lead rather than allow her to.

Pepper is still building her confidence, especially around men, and may bark or growl initially. With a proper introduction, she warms up quickly and will show her loving side.

Toby’s Critter Cove Rescue was established in 2020, the year that everything seems to be falling apart. Our one glimmer of hope was starting a passionate program rescuing animals in Summit and surrounding counties. Our motto, no paw left behind, which we live and breathe to ensure no animal goes unloved or uncared for. Our goal is to educate not only our volunteers, but also the community about responsible animal ownership. In addition, offering a varied level of support structures to ensure the most positive home placement for all our critters.
