STRAY - NOT YET TAKING APPLICATIONS – NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION
NEW INTAKE 1/3/2025: Monte - male - approx 1 year old - 9.10 pounds - Schnauzer mix
Reason for intake: Monte was found on January 2nd, 2025, on Old Benton Road in Bossier City, by a nice lady. She contacted us for help and we took him in the following day. We had already posted him on social media and now we are posting him again since he's officially with us. No one stepped forward from our original post. We did notify Bossier City Animal Control that we have him and they've registered him in their system. If an owner comes forward, they will need to reclaim him through BCAC and pay the reclamation fees. His stray will be up at 4pm on January 8. He will head to our vet on January 9th for neutering and everything else he needs. Stay tuned.
NOT TAKING APPLICATIONS: Many dogs, particularly breeder, hoarder or senior dogs, can have multiple medical issues that need addressed. Additionally, sometimes we take in young puppies requiring multiple vaccinations and/or quarantining. In this particular case, we are not yet taking applications either due to age or possible illness or some other reason. We will post when s(he) is ready for adoption. In the interest of fairness, EARLY application submissions will NOT be considered. Please note… we cannot respond to messages/emails, etc., on dogs that are NOT yet available for adoption. Please wait until the dog is available for adoption. We will post him or her on Facebook in our Adoptable Dog Album pinned to the top of our page which you can follow at this link: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.416768288349589&type=3 OR you can keep checking our website at www.roadtorescuela.org. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

Be responsible ~ Always spay/neuter, keep your dogs on heartworm prevention, vaccinate against disease... and if you bring a pet into your life, commit to that pet for life. Blessings.
