My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Oolong and Little One, two sweet and affectionate kittens ready to bring endless love and joy to your home!

Oolong (grey & white) is a cuddlebug and the epitome of sweetness. Her favorite place in the world? Snuggled up in her human’s arms, where she’s perfectly content to stay for hours, purring her heart out.

Little One was rescued at just 5 weeks old with severe eye infections. She is now blind—but that doesn’t slow her down one bit! She’s a fearless explorer who navigates her world like a pro. She knows exactly where the bed is (and will happily join you for a good night’s sleep) and uses the litter box like a champ. Little One adores head scritches and shows her love with the sweetest nuzzles. When she needs attention, she’ll let you know with an adorable meow, as if to say, "Hey, it’s cuddle time!"

What’s better than one amazing kitten? Two!These two are a perfect pair. Together, they’ll fill your home with warmth, purrs, and endless snuggles.

More about this rescue

Our rescue group was formed in December 2007, but all our Board Members have had extensive experience rescuing and working with abandoned animals. We often work with other rescue organizations to find appropriate and safe foster and adoptive homes for our pet clients. We regularly go to areas with abandoned animals and collect them. The animals are taken to a licensed veterinarian examined, treated and spayed or neutered. Every effort is made to work with the animal and our foster and adoptive families to find a suitable forever home.

For those animals who are truly wild and feral, we release the animal in a safe and secure location after it has recovered from its medical treatment. We also work with certified wildlife rehabilitators to rescue injured and orphaned wildlife. Our organization is focused on improving the welfare of the abandoned animals in need of help in Brooklyn. In furthering that goal, our resources are focused on the animals.

Aside from a few minimal overhead costs such as our website and phone services, our entire budget is spent on animal care such as medical and food costs.
