My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Sham, but don’t let the name fool you—I’m the real deal when it comes to love, snuggles, and all-around feline fabulousness.  I’ll sleep with you (and by “with you,” I mean “on you”), serenading you to dreamland with my incredibly loud purr. Trust me, it’s like having a personal kitty lullaby. I’m basically the Swiss Army Knife of cats. Got a nervous dog? I’m their new best friend. Need a toy inspector? Everything’s a toy in my eyes. Want biscuits? I’m a kneading machine—your blankets, your lap, your life—it’s all fair game. Curiosity may have killed the cat, but in my case, it just makes me sweeter. I love checking out my fellow felines and soaking up all the attention you’ve got to spare. If you’re looking for a cuddly, sweet, purr-powered partner in crime, I’m your Sham-azing match!

Go meet their pets

We will be holding adoption event days with PetSmart on Ft Jackson Blvd and Two Notch Rd as well as PetSense on Garners Ferry Rd. These are partnerships that we've initiated and that have been greeted with open arms by these great organizations. MUCH More to Come!

More about this rescue

At Cat Around Town Project, we believe that by spaying and neutering as many stray and colony cats as possible, we are proactively controlling overpopulation at its source. All kittens and any cats that are adoptable are removed from the colonies and adopted to suitable homes. One day, when the supply meets the demand, there will be a home waiting for every kitten in our community. .
