Do you need a lounge buddy? Someone to hang out with and catch the latest episode of Love Island? A constant companion while you work from home? Then lovely Wilma June may be your girl. Wilma is an older lady, thought to be around 8 years old. This makes her a wonderful calm and dependable companion. She does not need to be crated when left alone and is content to snooze on the sofa.
Wilma has loved everyone she’s met so far in foster care, both human and canine. She enjoys nothing more than a good belly rub! She has successfully been to the vet and to the local brewery, where everyone loved her. She has been in a home with cats and is a bit interested in them, but in a playful and non-aggressive manner, so she would do fine with a dog-savvy cat. We do think Wima would prefer to be an only dog, as she likes all the attention to herself, but this is just a preference. She currently lives with another dog and is doing just fine.
For her age, Wilma is in good health. Her back hips seem a bit sore, so she has been receiving a joint supplement. We’ve been working to help her trim off a few excess pounds, which should help her feel better. Wilma also came into foster care with only one eye, which has long since healed. We don’t know the story of how she lost her eye, but we’re sure it’s a tale of great adventure.
Wilma is being fostered in western MA. She is spayed, microchipped, and UTD on all vaccines and preventatives. Questions can be addressed to Luker.Laura@gmail.com.
