Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
A little bit about Ella : - Unknown history with children; all interactions should be carefully supervised by an adult - Limited history with cats, may do well after slow, gradual introductions. Has shown some prey drive towards small animals - Unknown history with dogs; some potential reactivity towards other dogs. Potential for select dog in home pending successful introduction
Meet Ella, a sweet and gentle senior Shepherd mix with a big heart and an even bigger love for life. Ella enjoys the simple pleasures—leisurely walks, relaxing on a sunny deck or courtyard, and spending time with her favorite people.
This lovely lady is a bit on the chonky side and would benefit from a gradual, vet-guided weight loss plan to help her feel her best. Ella has previously lived with cats and may do well with feline friends in her future home, provided introductions are done slowly and carefully.
Ella does have some special needs—she struggles with stress and anxiety, which can lead to obsessive licking and the development of hot spots. She’s currently on anti-anxiety medication to help manage her stress and prevent further issues, as well as medication to care for her skin. This will likely require lifelong management with her vet, but Ella takes it all in stride with her sweet and resilient spirit.
Despite her challenges, Ella is a wonderful companion who deserves a home where she can feel safe and loved. If you’re looking for a loyal friend and are willing to help her on her journey to better health, Ella just might be your perfect match.
