My name is Barry!

Barry is an AKC registered Wire-haired Portuguese Podengo Pequeno. He is a very sweet and affectionate dog and everyone who visits our home loves to cuddle him. He's happy to go on walks and car rides. He has decent leash manners and he's well behaved with our daughter and her friends. Barry is great with cats and dogs but we think would be best as the only pet.

Barry has two issues that our family has not been able to manage. He's still not completely house broken. Our other dog is bell trained and we are conditioned to the dogs telling us when they need to go out. This behavior may come from Barry sharing attention with four other pets in our home. When he was the only pet his potty manners were better.

Second, Barry's groomer moved away and we have struggled to manage his coat ever since. He has high anxiety for brushing and bathing which means extra time and expense to keep him free from tangles.
