Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Groot is a very loving, goofy, active dog. He does amazing with big kids. He needs a family that has the time to dedicate to giving him attention.
The reason we are looking for experienced adopters, is due to his behavioral quirks.
1. He will growl at other dogs and little kids, but it's not in an aggressive manner. When he finds a comfy spot, and other dogs or small children come near, growling is his way of saying this is my spot, don't make me move. He has never snapped at, bitten, or lunged at anything or anyone.
2. He likes to dig up rocks. He has a talent for sniffing out rocks in the yard, and likes to dig them up and play with them.
3. When he doesn't have the amount of attention he desires, he tends to pee on things.
We do have diapers that will go along with him, to help prevent messes during the transition of him learning his new space and people. He is comfortable in a kennel. Hoping to find a family with pre-teen/teenage kids, and plenty of energy to play with him.
