Meet Ricky
Ricky has been going through a tough time lately
He was adopted as a kitten and recently his owner contacted us to take him back at the age of 8
We are happy that we were contacted because we always take our cats back no matter what the situation is
Rickys owner told us that she wanted to give him up because he had fleas
We asked if he was let outdoors and the owner stated that he was not an indoor outdoor cat ( which we do not condone)
One of our dedicated Fosters agreed to take Ricky into her home
Ricky was taken to the Foster ‘s home in the trunk of the owners car
We were horrified to learn how he was treated
Ricky was not in a good condition
He was missing patches of fur, infested with fleas, and had severe flea dermatitis & was very overweight
He was clearly neglected
He was taken to the vet for care immediately
Ricky is now healing & doing much better
His fur is growing back in & he is settling into his new environment
Ricky has also shed some weight as he is being fed better food & the correct amount
He never ate wet food prior to being in his foster home
Ricky is very friendly and loving
He loves to be pet & is affectionate as well
Ricky is ready to be adopted into a home
He has never lived with cats before & doesn’t seem to like them in his Foster home
We would love to see Ricky adopted as an only cat so he could be king of the castle & be spoiled like he deserves
We are hoping Ricky could have a new start at life

Ricky is neutered, microchips, up to date on all vaccinations, FIV/FELv negative
