Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Radio was originally named Ailigandi and spayed as part of the Community Cat Program and released in East New York. We don't know if she had a feeder and shelter, but she looked pretty good - clean and well fed. Alas, she suffered a real bad degloving injury to her poor tail! She was lucky - a Good Samaritan picked her up and brought her to an emergency vet. The kind vet treated her and amputated a useless (!?!) appendage...
She was renamed Radio by her fosters because the remainder of her tail looks and moved like an antenna AND – she talks quite a bit!
Btw, have you noticed how often cats seem to forget about their tails? How many times did you have to tuck their tails in the carrier before closing the door? We don't know the circumstances of how her tail got injured, and we will spare you gory details except for - a photo of how cute it is now. Can you imagine Radio with a bunny like tail when the fur grows back?
Radio has recovered from her surgery, is rested and always hungry. We are thrilled how friendly she is, and we promised her no more community cat life for her (we are sure it suits some cats, but she is definitely a HOME CAT)
Radio is a little over 1 year old, spayed, tested, vaccinated, microchipped, and adorable. Please consider fostering or adopting her. She is a sweetheart and a gorgeous, unique looking cat! Link to adoption application below
All cats and kittens are rescued from the streets, abandoned, or pulled from at-risk list at city shelter. All are vaccinated, tested for FIV and FELV, dewormed, and spayed/neutered (if old enough). If the kitten is not old enough to be spayed/neutered we will do so at a later date, post-adoption. All adoptions require an application and donation.
If interested in meeting and possibly adopting our cat or kitten please complete an adoption application (link below)
