Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
My name is Ruby. I am a 45 to 50 lb dainty girl. I am a Greyhound mix and has the thin body of one coupled with the broad chest that is characteristic of Greyhounds and Dobermans and Whippets! Unfortunately I was returned because me and one of the cats were not seeing eye to eye. One of the cats I seemed to bond with... but the other was scared to death of me and turned my drive to chase on full force. Alas, I am SUPER happy to be in my foster home without any cats or the scent of a cat. I am very content with my dog friends and my humans! I am housebroken and crate trained but honestly, so far I haven't needed to use it much! When my people live for a bit, I just snooze and hang out. I love kids and I live with three kids over 8. I still have some puppy energy and might jump to hug you when I am excited but I listen when you tell me to get down. Surprisingly, I am really content just lounging around (like Greyhounds are actually!). If there is action, I will jump in but I am not needy. I am friendly and want to give kisses. I do pull on leash but with the right hardware and some more practice, I will get it; it's innocent! True to my houndness... I love to sniff! Single family home and a fenced in yard is required. Families with dogs and kids should apply; cats should not! Bonus - minimal shedding. Here is a link to the application if you are looking for a well-rounded, sweet companion! https://asecondchanceforziva.org/adopt/adoption-process-application/
