My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ash, a resilient and loving boy with a heart as big as his journey. Rescued from the shelter with a dislocated hip, Ash has undergone FHO surgery and is making great strides in his weekly hydrotherapy sessions. At just 18 months old, this 40-pound sweetheart has been through a lot but remains a beacon of affection and joy.

Ash is incredibly social—he adores people of all ages (especially little ones!), gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and even lives peacefully with cats, though he enjoys playful interactions that require the right feline companion. He’s a big kisser, loves attention, and has proven to be gentle even with the roughest toddler love.

While Ash thrives on human connection, he does experience some separation anxiety and will need a patient adopter committed to helping him adjust. He’s not potty trained yet and will require ongoing therapy for his leg, so his future family should be prepared for a little extra TLC.

Ash’s foster mom and community adore him, but he’s ready to find a forever home that can give him the love, structure, and attention he craves. Could you be the one to give this special boy a fresh start?

Currently in Southern California, but can be transported up to northern states, such as Oregon, Washington, or anywhere within the US continental, if a great suitable family is willing to adopt him.
