My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How do you get a beauty like Ember to love you? TREATS! Ember, with her beautiful long fur coat, is a friendly girl who is approximately 1 ½ years old. The way to her heart? Food and SNACKS! Her favourites? Greenies cat treats! But not too many – she has a girlish figure to maintain, after all. Ember is a friendly, social girl who enjoys being around people and is learning to love cuddles. She loves to play – especially toys she can bat about the room. Dangly toys are also great fun! Ember likes to hang out and sleep on your bathmat, so keep the bathroom door open for easy access. How will you know it’s mealtime for her? Don’t worry – she’ll tell you! Ember is a chatty girl who won’t let you forget dinner. Keep an eye on her though – she’s not beneath stealing food from the other cats in the house. Ember likes to sleep on the bed next to her foster mom, but would gladly sleep with her if the resident cat didn’t already have the bed reserved. Ember is good with other cats and will do well with another friendly cat, or a patient family or person home often to keep her company.

Ember came to us from a barn with her two older kittens. She was immediately spayed while her kittens went off to another foster home.

Ember is affectionate and ready to blossom into a social butterfly in the perfect home at last! As long as you have plenty of food and treats on hand for her, you will earn her love in no time at all!

More about this rescue

Home at Last Rescue (HALR) is a Registered Canadian Charity, that is 100% volunteer driven. Our goal is to rescue cats from substandard living conditions and give them the loving homes they deserve.

We provide medical care, emotional support and a loving environment while preparing them to find their forever homes. With no physical location, all of our cats and kittens reside in loving foster homes across the Greater Toronto Area until they are ready for adoption.

We receive no government funding and rely solely on adoption fees, donations and our fundraising efforts to support our initiatives. We believe there is a home for every cat and a cat for every home.
