Meet Jasper! Jasper is a sweet, calm, and loving dog who’s looking for his forever home. He’s happiest when he’s snuggled up next to you, soaking in all the love and attention you have to give. Jasper is a social pup who gets along wonderfully with other dogs and children. He mostly minds his own business, and he’s incredibly gentle with my children—even tolerating kisses without a fuss. Jasper is as friendly as they come. However, he’s still working on his potty training and will need a patient owner to help him learn the ropes. While he’ll go outside, he sometimes forgets and has accidents indoors. A belly band has been helpful for managing this. Jasper isn’t a fan of being in his crate and will bark for a while before settling down, but with time and positive reinforcement, he may grow more comfortable. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will shower you with love and affection, Jasper could be the match for you! He’s ready to find a family who will continue to work with him on his training and give him the secure and loving home he deserves. Jasper is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered.

Once you fill out an application on the adoptables tab on our website, http://pawpatroldayton.com/adoptable-dogs, a representative will conduct a reference check with your vet provided. A call to the potential adopter will be made when the representative is done verifying the information on the contract.

- To provide shelter in the form of a lean-to or doghouse to outdoor pets in an effort to keep them dry and warm.
- To provide outdoor dogs with alternatives to chaining in order to improve their quality of life.
- To promote the importance of spaying/neutering pets and to offer this service to pets in our community.
- To provide information to the public about the negative aspects of pet tethering.
- To assist owners with necessary resources to allow them to keep their pet happy, healthy, and out of the already over-crowded shelter system.
