Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Due to a recent relocation and changes in his family's circumstances, 9-year-old toy poodle Kona needs a loving new home where he can receive the time and attention he deserves.
Kona thrives on companionship and loves to be close to his people. His favorite spot is on on or near a lap, but he is ready for a walk or car ride on a moment's notice. He is a great walking buddy on streets, trails, or at parks. Kona enjoys shaking soft squeaky toys, too! He is house-trained.
Kona would likely do best in an adults-only home where he is the only pet. When Kona was 2 years old, he was attacked by a large off-leash dog and seriously injured. While he physically healed from the injury, he carries the trauma from this experience, which impacts his interactions with other dogs. Kona does not do well with male dogs or female dogs larger than himself. He has very little experience being around cats.
Kona is very protective of his family and alerts them to strangers approaching. His protectiveness also extends to his space and where he is comfortable being touched.
Kona needs a patient and understanding family who will respect his boundaries and give him the time and space he needs to feel comfortable.
If you think you can provide Kona with the supportive environment he needs, please contact Jason at jasonfluid@hotmail.com.
