Hi there future family! My name is Nyla and I am a beautiful Frenchie gal, I am a super sweet girl who has loved all the people that I have met so far! Although my foster mom did say that she thinks I would be best in a home with older children. Every since I have come into rescue I have been learning new things everyday and becoming more and more of a good girl! I am crate trained and am quiet as a mouse when in it. I have a foster sibling at home right now and we love to play together although sometimes I get super caught up in it and need to be reminded that I need to be gentel and not so aggressive. My foster mom and I have been working on redirecting me when I get overstimulated and although I am making progress, right now might not be the best time for me to have a full time canine companion. Cats however.... Love them and I love to play with them! I had some skin issues that we were able to get cleared up since being on a nice diet and medicated baths and got the all clear from the vet this week! I sure will miss getting those bubble baths so often nothing like a nice soak in the tub after a long day of cold weather and playing with toys. I am not a huge fan of the cold or snow so I make my walks and potty breaks as quick as possible! I do enjoy my vest and look so stylish in it! I am working hard on potty training and always pee outside but still use a potty pad for number 2 sometimes. In the short time that I have been with my foster mom I have learned a lot of new tricks! I can sit,wait, Lie down, and shake! Pretty impressive if I do say so myself! So if you are looking to add a beautiful, smart, spunky, fun loving girl to your home I might just be her!

Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.

The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. Submit Application

Please complete an application if you are interested in meeting one of our adoptable pets. Applications are reviewed in the order received.

Approve Application

Once submitted, one of our volunteer Application Processors will conduct necessary background/landlord/vet and reference checks.

3.
Meet the Pet

Once your application has been processed and approved, it is forwarded along to the pets foster caregiver for review and to reach out to you

Additional adoption info

We want to be sure that the adoption process is as smooth and positive an experience as possible. Our animals are in foster homes and we do everything we can to learn as much about their likes and dislikes, temperament and activity level as we can while in our care. By doing so, it enables us to work more closely with a potential adopter to help ensure a "good fit." The adoption process might take a bit longer than adopting from a shelter, but our ultimate goal is finding a match that benefits not just the animal, but also the family interested in adopting.

We are looking to let our adopters chose the speed of the adoption process. To start the process, we require that an adoption application be completed. Once submitted, we will connect with you to discuss the type of animal you're looking for, your lifestyle and home environment, and what the best fit may be. At times, we may request to conduct a home visit, which can often be done in tandem with what we refer to a "meet and greet" where you have the opportunity to meet and interact with the animal(s) you're interested in adopting. Ad part of our process we conduct background check on all applicants, will check personal and vet references also. Our goal is always the proper placement for any adopted animal, which may mean that the animal you originally are interested in may turn out to not be the best fit, but we will work with you to find a better match. Adoption fees include spaying/neutering of all animals, age appropriate vaccinations ad microchipping and range anywhere from $80-$175 for cats and $200-$450 for dogs.

Prior to finalizing adoptions we require a signed Contract & Agreement which includes an understanding that if for any reason the animal does not work out that you will return them back to The Rescue Crew.

Go meet their pets

As all of our animals are in private foster homes, we do not have a facility where adoptable animals can be met. However, we do host adoption events occasional throughout the Twin Cities metro area, and those will be posted both on our website and Facebook pages.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit Minnesota-based animal rescue organization which strives to prevent the unnecessary euthanasia of companion animals by finding them loving forever homes. The Rescue Crew was established specifically to fill a need in the local Twin Cities metro area to help shelter animals facing imminent risk of euthanasia without rescue support.
