Meet Boogie: Smart, Loyal, and Looking for His Perfect Home

Boogie hasn’t had the easiest road, but we’re dedicated to helping him find a home that understands his needs and gives him the structure and calm he thrives in. His current household is too busy for him, and it’s clear he’ll do best in a quieter, predictable environment.

Boogie is incredibly smart and treat-driven, making training a rewarding experience. However, he has a bite history, particularly in unpredictable situations or when feeling threatened by strangers (“stranger danger”). Once he feels safe and builds trust, Boogie becomes a loyal, ride-or-die companion.

He loves dogs his size or smaller but is not comfortable around larger dogs.

Boogie’s Highlights:

• Exceptionally intelligent and highly treat-motivated

• Crate trained and housebroken

• Muzzle trained

• Loyal and affectionate with those he trusts

What Boogie Needs:

• A quiet, experienced home

• No children

• Small dogs only (under 20 lbs)

• A patient, understanding family willing to work within his comfort zones and respect his boundaries

We are setting up some adoption events now, but are free for private meet and greets if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets!

More about this rescue

We have a passion for senior animals. To be able to save an animal from dying alone in a shelter, to give it a chance to live out its last days/months/years in a home with the proper care and love it deserves, instead of a cold shelter, is what drives us to keep going.

We obviously have financial needs that come with rescuing senior dogs, so we will be rescuing puppies and younger dogs as well so we are able to care for our seniors.
