My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Finch! I was rescued with my brother, Atticus from a hoarding home where the person passed away, leaving 18 unaltered indoor-outdoor cats. A family member took over the estate and started fixing and adopting out the cats. That was back in May when my brother and I were just little kittens. But we were finally fixed last month and taken in by Smittens! I really like to be around other cats. I’m a little more shy (and quiet) at first but, I’m super sweet, cuddly, and gently curious once I know I’m in a safe home. I am definitely bonded to my brother Atticus, I gain confidence when we are together. I can’t wait to find a forever loving home that will take great care of me and even have a friend or my brother to spend my days with!

More about this rescue

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
