My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Loyal, sweet, and fun to be around!

Hiya, folks! I’m Pippi, and I’m a 4-year-old Bulldog Mix, tipping the scales at 27 pounds. I was rescued in the nick of time from the SEACCA Downey Shelter and am now ready to dive headfirst into the next chapter of my life. I hope it includes you!
Basically, I’m a chill and easy-going kind of gal. While I’m not going to be zooming around in the backyard, I will chest-snuggle you while snorting in your face like a tiny freight train. My hobbies include cuddling, eating, and working overtime to make you smile. Whether it’s hanging out with other doggie friends or humans big or small, I’ve never met a face I didn’t love!

As far as training goes, I’m still learning the ropes of this potty-training thing, but I’ve got my crate and leash skills down. Plus, I’m totally fine on my own – no separation anxiety here! Oh, and I’m already spayed and feeling fabulous health-wise, thank you very much.

I think I’d fit seamlessly into most homes. While I’m not the type of girl who’ll run a marathon with you, I am game for most adventures and would make a great brewery pup. All I ask is for some love, belly rubs, and maybe a snack or two. In return, you’ll get a loyal, lovable, face-snorting companion who’s ready to be her best self for you!
My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We prioritize local San Diego applicants. We do not provide transport of dogs to other states, and don't allow the dogs to fly in the cargo of the plane.
Our adoption process from start to finish, involves 3 standard forms, and 2 situational.
All potential applicants must be capable of providing their adopted pet with routine and emergency veterinary care (yearly health checks, keeping vaccinations current, heartworm/flea preventatives, and immediate care in the event the animal is sick or injured). They are required to license their pet, and keep an identification tag on their pet at all times.
All applicants must agree to a home check, and provide us with a veterinary reference, or personal references if you're a first-time pet owner. Our home checks are not to invade the privacy of the applicants, we do this to ensure the pet is going into a safe home. We do not discriminate against non-homeowners, or those living in apartments, condos, or otherwise.
Our adoption fees vary from $150-1000.
Applicants must agree in writing that if for any reason they are unable to keep or care for their pet, the pet will be surrendered back to our rescue and not re-homed, turned over to a shelter, pound, rescue, new owner, sold, etc.

More about this rescue

Overview
The Animal Pad is a nonprofit, all-breed dog rescue devoted to saving the lives of dogs facing euthanasia at high kill animal shelters and off the streets of Mexico. We rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home locally.

We are dedicated to animal advocacy, and educating dog owners on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets. We are a foster based rescue, and rely heavily on the kindness and generosity of the amazing people who make donations toward the rescue and care of the dogs we save.

We are always looking for adopters, fosters, donations, volunteers, etc.. Please let us know if you would like to get involved by contacting us at one of the email addresses found below.
