Katrina is a long, lanky girl with a big personality. You won’t know that at first because she will be incredibly shy for the first several days. It is important to give her a space to hide in, but one that you can also access because she will be tucked away in the smallest space if given the opportunity. One key to gaining her trust is to stroke her gently so that she knows your scent and touch. That means you can even reach your hand into her hiding space and pet her. She will not attack because she is so sweet and gentle. She just needs patience and lots of love. When she knows she can trust you, she is incredibly friendly! Once she comes out of her shell, she loves to play and would benefit from being with another kitty her age, perhaps her own brother! She can be a little bit finicky when it comes to food and loves Temptations chicken treats. She is very regular with using her litter box.
Meet Katrina and Hugo at PetSmart, Bleachery Blvd, on Saturday during our weekly adoption event from 12-4pm. Get $50 off the adoption fee for a pair of kittens. All cats are spayed/neutered, current on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, FELV/FIV tested, dewormed and started on monthly flea preventative.
All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information.
Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.
Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC.
