My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Reece (A137064) is a 3-year-old DSH who weighed just under 20 pounds on intake but is very overweight.

12/31/24 This loveable big kitty is Reece! Reece was surrendered to the shelter because he started urinating outside the litterbox. He was seen by the shelter vet, and his urinalysis came back clean. Reece's inappropriate urination issues could be cause by a number of things. Helping him to lose weight, keeping the litterbox clean, and making sure there are multiple boxes in quiet areas are all ways to help him overcome this issue. Reece was said to be litterbox trained and would do best in a home without other cats. He was said to be friendly towards all – people and other animals. Reece has been very affectionate towards the care staff. He was placed on a diet on arrival at the shelter because, as you can see, he is quite overweight. Helping him work off some of that weight will ultimately help him feel so much better! We encourage his next owner to follow up with their vet to continue him on his weight loss challenge! If you are interested in meeting Reece, please let us know!
