Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Starry, named after the delightful drink is a 4-year-old pup weighing around 60 lbs, with a heart as bright as the summer sky. This sweet and friendly girl is ready to light up your life with her love, affection, and playful spirit, eagerly waiting to find her forever home.
Starry is a true people-lover, with a special talent for bonding quickly with her human companions. Her warm and welcoming nature is evident in the way she greets everyone with a wagging tail and a smile, spreading joy wherever she goes.
This charming pup is an avid fan of walks, but her true passion lies in car rides, where she revels in the wind in her fur, ears flapping in the breeze out of the window, and the sights and smells passing by. Whether it's exploring the neighborhood on foot or cruising down the road in the car, Starry is always up for an adventure with you.
While Starry is great with other dogs, she does best when provided with proper introductions but she can also do just fine as the only dog in the home where she can soak up all the love and attention for herself. Her playful nature is evident in her daily zoomies, but she also knows when it's time to wind down and relax, cuddling up with her favorite humans for some quality time.
Affectionate and loving, Starry is a cuddle enthusiast who enjoys showering her family with love and snuggles. House trained and crate trained, she is a well-mannered pup who knows several commands, showcasing her intelligence and eagerness to learn new things.
Despite some broken and missing teeth and a small fistula in her gums from unknown causes, Starry has been given a clean bill of health by the vet and is thriving. She has a hearty appetite and enjoys her meals, proving that nothing can dim her bright and loving spirit.
If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate, and playful companion to brighten your days, look no further than Starry. Come meet this wonderful girl and experience the love, joy, and companionship she has to offer. Adopt Starry today and embark on a journey filled with endless love, laughter, and unforgettable memories together.

More about this rescue
Hope Ranch Animal Sanctuary is a non-profit organization; obtained our 501(c)3 in 2011 - ID #27-0810495
Located in Anza, CA
Kathy Haley had originally started as a rescue for abused and neglected large animals such as donkeys, llamas, alpacas, pigs, and more. At the time, she was also a volunteer at a dog rescue. After learning about the importance of rescue work, Kathy saw an opportunity to help by employing her own ideas about animal welfare, rescue and care taking the "whole animal," mind, body and spirit into consideration. A few years later, she met Lisa Ashe. Kathy and Lisa had so many ideas, dreams, and goals in common. They instantly clicked and that was when Hope Ranch Animal Sanctuary, a non-profit organization, was born in 2011 and have been going strong since.
At Hope Ranch Animal Sanctuary, we are dedicated to taking in abused, neglected, and euthanasia listed animals that deserve a second chance and need us the most.
All of our animals are:
Spayed/Neutered
Current on all vaccines
Rabies Vaccinated
Dewormed
Micro-chipped (lifetime registered & paid)
Received all proper medical care when needed (surgeries, dentals, medications, grooming, etc)
While many of our animals are sanctuary or "permanent residents", we do have lots of adoptable pets who are patiently waiting for their forever homes.
We are unique in the fact that our dogs do not live in kennels; instead they live with us in our home on about 5 acres of property located in Anza, CA or they are in foster homes in and around the Temecula, CA area. They have full access to our home and property and sleep inside with us at night.
This ensures that our pets are well adjusted and perfectly suited to become a part of your family.
Because the sanctuary is also our home, we do not have regular public visiting hours but we do have many visitors.
We just have to arrange it to fit the schedule of our animals, ourselves, and you.
