My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dawson!
Dawson is a remarkable graduate of the STAR program (Save Train And Rehabilitate) in Oklahoma, where he lived with a dedicated inmate handler who taught him basic obedience and tricks. This sweet boy is crate trained, house trained, and knows commands like sit, shake, down, and stay. He’s a great listener, even responding well to “No.”

Dawson is a quiet, gentle soul who gets along wonderfully with cats, dogs of all sizes, and kids. He’s a certified cuddle bug who loves sitting on your lap and is starting to show his playful side, too.

More about this rescue

We help animals who are in need by placing them in a loving foster home, providing medical care, and finding the perfect home for that animal to live in for the rest of its life. Tails of Hope takes mainly dogs, but has occasionally helped other animals in need. We take animals in through shelters and other rescue organizations, as strays, or as owner surrenders from people in our local communities.
