My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hi to Sally & Jilly,

Much like their namesake (Practical Magical sisters!) these girls are inseparable! Sally & Jilly came to us from an Amish Puppy Mill. They were part of the last litter. Good news, the breeder is no longer in business! However, these two were left in a dark barn for the first 7 months of their life with little to no socialization. This has made them incredibly bonded to one another. We know finding them a home together is a big ask! But we will always do what is best for our dogs! They have made it clear together is where they are most comfortable.

Jilly is more outgoing and the first to say hi in new situations! Sally looks to her for confidence and won't investigate until Jilly let's her know it's ok. Once they warm up they are WONDERFUL girls! They love to play, are great with other dogs, great with cats and we feel would even be ok with kids! They are even great in the car! As long as they have each other, they are ready to go anywhere!

Sally & Jilly are both spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and heartworm negative. They are crate trained, potty trained and know basic obedience!

Both girls are well over 60 pounds and will likely be around 70/80 each full grown. If you have room in your heart and home for 2 of the best girls who finally deserve their happily ever after, please visit our website and complete an adoption application: Adoptables — Purebred Rescue Organization of Ohio

The adoption fee for them both is $500

Go meet their pets

We have monthly events at local pet stores in Columbus and Dayton, and can arrange private meet-and-greets with individual fosters, as needed. Please submit an application to adopt in order to be contacted by one of our adoption coordinators, if you would like to meet one of our dogs.

More about this rescue

Purebred Rescue Organization of Ohio has been rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming companion animals for over twenty years. What started as a small foster-based rescue in Dayton, focused on purebred puppy mill releases and owner surrenders, has grown into a multi-city effort, and now includes the PUPP Prison Dog Training Program and partnerships with shelters across the State of Ohio to help save hundreds of dogs each year. Contrary to our name, we rescue dogs of all breeds, mixes, shapes, and sizes! We provide standard vetting for them while they are in our care - all of our dogs are fixed, heartworm tested, vaccinated, and microchipped before they are placed in adoptive homes.
