My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Cider ! â˜•ï¸

This sweet Cocker Spaniel/Poodle mix came to us a few months ago after 5 years in a puppy mill . Cider was used only for breeding and had no idea what a loving home is. Since being with us she has completed our wonderful prison training program and is adjusting to life in a foster home!

Cider does fine with other dogs, does well with cats but would prefer to live without children in the home. She will require a physically fenced in yard to help keep her safe when outside . Once she warms up to her environment, she is happy to sit with you on the couch ï¸ and bond with her people.

She is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative and microchipped. She is crate trained, does well on a leash and is potty trained if kept on a schedule.

If you have a lowkey home  and can give this quiet girl the happily ever after she so desperately deserves â¤ï¸, please visit our website and complete an application: https://www.prodogsohio.org/adoptables

Her adoption fee is $350

Go meet their pets

We have monthly events at local pet stores in Columbus and Dayton, and can arrange private meet-and-greets with individual fosters, as needed. Please submit an application to adopt in order to be contacted by one of our adoption coordinators, if you would like to meet one of our dogs.

More about this rescue

Purebred Rescue Organization of Ohio has been rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming companion animals for over twenty years. What started as a small foster-based rescue in Dayton, focused on purebred puppy mill releases and owner surrenders, has grown into a multi-city effort, and now includes the PUPP Prison Dog Training Program and partnerships with shelters across the State of Ohio to help save hundreds of dogs each year. Contrary to our name, we rescue dogs of all breeds, mixes, shapes, and sizes! We provide standard vetting for them while they are in our care - all of our dogs are fixed, heartworm tested, vaccinated, and microchipped before they are placed in adoptive homes.
