Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hefty is known around the shelter and community as being a gentle, well-mannered, happy pup! Volunteers and community members just love this guy, sharing:
“Despite his name, Hefty does not stand out for his physical strength. Instead, he stands out for his calm and gentle demeanor. He happily waited for me to leash him, and then was excited to go for a walk. He walked very well, paying attention to other people and dogs on our walk but not pulling to see them. Hefty was very excited to be spoiled with some pets and treats during the walk, as well. He has a great attitude!”
Hefty recently enjoyed a pawjama party and his new BFF shared, “Hefty was friendly and easy around bicycles and friendly to a neighbor in a wheelchair - totally non-reactive and unafraid! He loved to get brushed and rolled right over to show his belly. He LOVES treats and takes them very gently! He can be left alone and tends to sleep on the bed until you return. He won`t jump up, beg or get on the furniture. He sleeps through the night on his bed. He gives 1,534 tail wags and tappy-toes every day!”
His friend also shared that Hefty is:
-sociable and fun -likes to ride in the car (one cookie was enough to bribe him into the car) -leash trained -likes to be outdoors -likes to go on hikes -housebroken -loves to run -mellow and laid back
Hefty shares his kennel politely and has been easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. This boy checks all the boxes! Come meet him before he gets snatched up!
