My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Paulo! Paulo is a charming little guy with a big personality packed into the perfect-sized pup. This youngster has a serious expression that’s hilariously at odds with his playful and lovable nature. Despite a rough start, coming in very emaciated, Paulo has made an incredible recovery and is thriving. Food is the way to his heart—he’s extremely treat-motivated (think `Hungry, Hungry Hippo`) and eager to learn, making him highly trainable. He already knows `sit` and is working on other commands.

Paulo is a dream on the leash and has mellowed out recently, showing a balanced energy level. He loves his toys and enjoys playtime but settles down nicely after getting his zoomies out. While he can be a little jumpy and nippy in a playful, puppy-like way, he’s easily redirected and handled. He’s shown interest in other dogs and will be joining a playgroup soon to test his social skills. With the right outlet for his energy, Paulo will make an easy, joyful companion for anyone ready to give him the love and structure he deserves. If you’re looking for a fun, food-loving buddy who’s ready to bring lots of laughs and loyalty to your life, Paulo might just be the perfect match!
