Ziggy is a beautiful laid back, chill of a SENIOR cat after enduring some rough challenging times outside. Lucky for him, he went to a person's home in PV who fed him outside for over a month, since she had 5 rescues of her own. He kept trying to get into her home repeatedly.
She then called Catty Shack Rescue and a foster was available to foster him and get him back into good health. He went to the vet, where we were told he is probably around 8 yrs old.( based on his teeth). We also learned he was neutered!! This means he had been in a home at one time.
Ziggy had a thorough dental cleaning & 4 teeth pulled. He also had damage from ear mites But with good eating, warmth, love and lots of brushing since being rescued, he is now a happy guy!
He has enjoyed being the KING of HIS Castle in foster care since mid. Nov. 2024.
Ziggy gets the ZOOMIES every morning, and it is so fun to watch him run with that fluffy tail in his breeze! Daytime activities consists of watching the life outside such as birds, squirrels, deer, and wild turkeys. He loves sleeping with foster mom & dad part of the night, walking across them and purring like crazy.

More about this rescue
We are a 501(c)(3) non profit group of unpaid volunteers who have come together to rescue cats from the street. Our group rescues cats already in trouble through abandonment. We saw a need in our community for cats on the street with no advocates to be helped through sheltering, spay/neuter and placement in homes of their own.
