Meet Chip, a charming young terrier mix, brimming with energy and playfulness. At just one year old, he's still a pup with a lot of love to give. His sweet and friendly nature makes him a joy to be around. Chip is a social butterfly when it comes to other dogs, always ready to make new friends and play. However, he's not so keen on feline companions, so a home without cats would be best for him. Chip is the embodiment of joy and vitality, eager to explore the world and experience life's adventures. He's seeking a loving family who can match his energy and provide him with the care and attention he deserves. With his loving personality and playful spirit, Chip is sure to bring happiness and laughter into any home. Adopt Chip, and let his sweet nature fill your life with love and joy.
Chip is neutered and up to date on all of his monthly preventatives and core vaccinations. He is also microchipped! If you are interested, give us a call at 740-314-5583! Give us a call at (740) 314-5583 for more information!
ADOPTION APPLICATION: All adoption applications are completed at the shelter unless otherwise noted.

More about this shelter
We are the Jefferson County Humane Society and , except for our humane officers (who are paid very nominally), we are all volunteers! Our members were instrumental in getting a local levy passed to build a new and larger shelter and the doors opened in 2011. We are currently participating in Iams Home for the Holidays Program and the Purina Pets for People grant program. We are actively pursuing other grants and recently have been asked by the county to partner with them in the operation of the new shelter. Since we are a humane society, our main focus is on getting animals spayed and neutered so there are no more homeless pets. To that end, we bring in a mobile animal surgical clinic who performs spays and neuters at a reduced rate. We are always looking for volunteers to help us in our efforts and, of course, for financial contributions (we are a non-profit, 501 (c)3) and pet adopters! Other items such as food, treats, pet carriers, cages, leashes, collars, food bowls, etc. are also ALWAYS welcomed and appreciated. Please contact us if you have an item to be donated or would like to volunteer with us to try to save some of these homeless, but very loveable, dogs!
