Meet Chinook! This fun-loving, spunky, and smart guy is ready to find his new family! At 6-years-old, this Husky mix is still full of puppy pep. He loves to run and play, and will make an excellent hiking, jogging, or adventure buddy. When he`s not showing off his athletic moves, he enjoys working on brain puzzles and learning new tricks. Chinook is looking to be the only pet in his new home so he doesn`t have to share his human`s attention with any other furry ones. He can be reactive to dogs on leash and will do best in a quieter area where he can go for walks and runs without having to pass too many other dogs. Chinook is looking for a home with just dog-experienced teens and adults, and no apartments, please. Chinook would absolutely love a securely fenced yard where he can safely get out his zoomies. 1.
Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

First visit our website, www.homewardpet.org, to see all available pets. There, set an appt to visit the shelter or apply for fostered pets.

2.
Interview

For fostered pets only, if your application is first in line, we'll schedule time for you to speak with an Adoption Specialist.

3.
Meet the Pet

During your visit, the Adoption Specialist can introduce you to any of our available animals. Foster animals will be brought to the shelter.

4.
Take the Pet Home

If it's a match when you meet, you'll sign our adoption contract, pay an adoption fee and take your new friend home!

Homeward Pet Adoption Center does adoptions by appointment. Please visit www.homewardpet.org to view all of our Available animals and make an appointment.

For pets noted to be in foster, you'll instead fill out an application in their profile. You'll be emailed a link to speak by phone with an Adoption Specialist.

We will share with you all the information we have regarding an animal's history, health and behavior, and work with you to make a great match for your family.

Homeward Pet Adoption Center is a private, non-profit animal shelter. With medical and behavior staff on-site, we are on the leading edge of animal welfare, using Fear Free Sheltering techniques, positive training and enrichment to provide the best care we can to our cats and dogs. All of our animals receive a comprehensive health exam, and are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and given flea preventative and dewormer prior being available for adoption.
