Rocky boy is a charming, playful, perfect sized 2-year-old Shepherd who quickly became a volunteer favorite at his previous shelter! This lovable guy has a passion for playtime, especially when it comes to playing with his toys or a game of fetch. In fact, he is a fetch master and will go for as long as you're willing to throw the ball! To cool off and take a break, Rocky Boy loves to splash around in the baby pool.

If you're looking for an activity partner, Rocky Boy could be your guy! He loves going for walks and sniffing all the good sniffs. He walks well on his leash and keeps a great pace. After some good exercise, Rocky boy loves to rub up against his humans for some pets and snuggles. He is also very food motivated, taking his treats incredibly gently from his friends. He already knows sit and is eager to learn more tricks!

Step one:
Browse our available animals online. Our website has more details on every animal, including any known history with dogs, cats, and kids, as well as individual adoption fees. Visit https://www.austinpetsalive.org/adopt

Step two:
Using the provided contact form here or on the APA! website, you can send an inquiry on the animal(s) you are interested in.

Step three:
Our adoption team will connect you to the foster home or someone at the shelter location where the animal is currently living to learn more about the animal and potentially set up a visit!

Step four:
After meeting the animal you would like to adopt, instructions for completing the adoption paperwork, scheduling an appointment, and picking up your new family member will be shared with you!
