My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Barnett is the sweetest little gummy worm you'll ever meet!

Born in the basement of a discount store to a recently adopted mama cat, he is well adjusted and social, with a hearty appetite and an excellent attitude.

Barnett is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, negative for FIV/FeLV, and has been treated for parasites. He must go to a home with another playful cat.

If you're interested in meeting Barnett, please fill out this application here:

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Interested adopters first fill out an adoption application, after which they can visit our animals in their foster homes. If they would like to adopt and their application is approved, they then complete an adoption contract. We also ask for an adoption fee to help us continue our work.

Go meet their pets

Please email us at adopt@brooklynanimalaction.org or contact the e-mail in the individual listing if you are interested in meeting one of our rescued animals. We hold Saturday adoption events at Unleashed by Petco in Park Slope and Petsmart on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn (check our website and Facebook page for more information) and have cats at Bushy Tails pet store in Bushwick and Petsmart.
