This beautiful is Etta - she is a young Shih Tzu who weighs around 15 pounds. On 12/1/2024, Etta gave birth to 5 beautiful puppies who are also available for adoption once they are 8-10 weeks old.

Etta has tested positive for heartworm and her treatment will begin at the end of January but she can be adopted anytime. Etta is a super easy going girl, she loves to hang on the couch for snuggles and go for walks. She is crate trained and house trained, gets along with everyone - dogs, cats, kids - but can be tentative when meeting new people. But we have found that she can easily swayed with belly rubs!

Before being adopted out, Etta will be spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated. If you are interested in adopting this beautiful girl, please complete an adoption application at www.northstarpets.org and ask for ETTA TX!

In a very very small number of situations, a home check may be needed if we have any questions or concerns after processing the application.

A meet and greet will be arranged for approved applicants with you and your entire family including your current pets.

Adult Dog: 375.00
Senior Dog: 200.00
Puppy: 375.00 + 100.00 refundable spay/neuter deposit
All adopters must complete application and be approved by the rescue.

In many areas of the country, especially in the South, the situation for animals is desperate: Chained outside and starving, homeless and running loose, or just simply no longer wanted and abandoned in an overburdened and underfunded facility that can’t possibly take another. NorthStar Pet Rescue was founded in 2017, and although we might be a relatively new name among New Jersey animal rescues, you may recognize some of us from the work we’ve done volunteering with other rescues to help animals over the past decade. We are 100% dedicated to operating in an safe, transparent, and ethical manner and to ensuring the best veterinary practices are followed with regards to the care and transport of our animals.
